When anxiety and OCD take over, the right treatment matters
Anxiety has a way of taking up more and more space in your thoughts, routines, and relationships.
It can show up in many ways. Some people struggle with persistent worry, panic attacks, or avoidance. Others find themselves caught in intrusive thoughts, rumination, repeated checking, reassurance seeking, or patterns that keep pulling them back into doubt.
Our practice provides specialized treatment for anxiety disorders for ages five and up. We work with children, teens, adults, and families to help them understand how anxiety works and develop practical ways to respond to it differently.
Michelle Puerner specializes in obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) and complex anxiety presentations, including cases where symptoms overlap with eating disorders, trauma, or body based distress. These situations are often confusing, misdiagnosed, or resistant to treatment. Her work focuses on identifying the patterns that keep symptoms going and helping people step out of those cycles.
Treatment may include Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and family based work through the SPACE model.
We offer both in person and telehealth sessions for individuals and families across Montana and Colorado.
Change is possible, and the right treatment approach makes a real difference.
